I have purchased the WooCommerce Members Only plugin. However the membership approval doesn’t seem to work, I have enabled this in the settings.

When a new user registers, their account is immediately created and I (admin) do not receive any email to start the approval process. The odd thing is I do see that the newly created user doesn’t have any role assigned to it.

Could you please provide support on how to solve this? Thank you in advance!

Yes, you can set the user role automatically on purchasing a product using this method: https://pluginrepublic.com/update-user-roles-after-purchase/. This doesn’t require approval.

You can also use the plugin to change the default role from “Customer” if you wish.

Hi, I have a quick pre-purchase question.
In addition to the many possibilities of the plugin I see that it manages the assignment of the role by default.
I wanted to know if it was indeed possible to assign a role other than the Woocommerce role by default (customer) when registering a user via the purchase process or via the customer area, by any other role, automatically without approval?
Just> customer registration> automatic assignment of a role other than the “customer” role and without approval?

Thanks, I have 1 remaining question: For “my account” the settings via Members Only plugin work perfectly to our purposes – user can select a role and depending on the role the user needs manual approval or gets auto-approved.

What I still don’t get: When I define a “auto-approved” user role as “Default User Roles” (in Registration settings), and users checkmark “create user account” on check-out page, the Default User Role gets assigned but still requires manual approval. Whereas same role via “my account” does not require manual approval.

Question: Is there an option to enable user approval only for specific user roles?
We run a shop with a standard set products, and a member-only set of products. We need no manual user approval for default customers, but if customers register as specific members – yes. Thanks!

Hi, There is a problem in mail approval. I already enable the mail approval option but also approval mail is not going to approved users.
