This template advises to crop new images from the page (or its source) and upload each as a separate image, referring back to the original page. If cropping a JPEG image, consider using a lossless cropping tool such as jpegtran. This can be done via a bot using Cropbot or Croptool.

Note: The Images requiring extraction category is a subcategory of Images for cleanup category.
Optional parameter 1 describes the images to be extracted.
