This was removed by A1Cafel with the summary "Doing by an admin". I'm not sure what this means, but I'm restoring it. A response, including an explanation on why these files were uploaded, what action you have taken (if any) to clean up, and why you chose to remove this section, would be appreciated. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:55, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I thought he is asking someone to tag and deal with the duplicates. I saw some admins are already doing it, so there is no need to mention others. Those files are a set of a conference called "Supporting Syria Conference", I have checked some and they do not appear on Commons, but probably a few were missed. No action can be taken, as they already tagged by User:OptimusPrimeBot. --A1Cafel (talk) 16:06, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Ooligan: What is the amount of duplicate versus non-duplicate uploads with your examples? Like is A1Cafel uploading 5 images that are all duplicates or is it only 5 out of say every 200? --Adamant1 (talk) 00:45, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Adamant1.
First, 15 duplicates above are from a single Flickr album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dfid/albums/72157664211672906
Those are the duplicates I noticed before they were deleted.
Add these 16 duplicates that were deleted before I noticed:
File:Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway (24785368896).jpg
File:Delegates at the Supporting Syria and the Region conference (24698498222).jpg

File:Mazoun Almellehan, Malala Fund (25098407351).jpg
That is 31 duplicate uploads from just one Flickr album.
There are 53 non-duplicative uploads
These uploads start at timeline: 10:27 25 September 2023 to 10:31 25 September 2023 https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AContributions&target=A1Cafel&namespace=all&tagfilter=&start=2023-09-25&end=2023-09-25&limit=1000
Your question- "What is the amount of duplicate versus non-duplicate uploads with your examples?
Answer 31 to 53. -- Ooligan (talk) 07:01, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Should be 31 to 82. --A1Cafel (talk) 07:28, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Adamant1, on 30 September you wrote me this question:
"What is the amount of duplicate versus non-duplicate uploads with your examples? Like is A1Cafel uploading 5 images that are all duplicates or is it only 5 out of say every 200?"
A1Cafel himself wrote that answered your question that he uploaded 31 duplicate files out of 82 files total. See above where he wrote, "should be 31 to 82."
He is incorrect.
In this example, one Flickr album had 84 total photo files.
31 duplicate files of 84 total files uploaded.
However, your question was "... duplicate versus non-duplicate uploads..."
There were 53 non-duplicate uploads.
Your answer is 31 versus 53 or that
36% of the 84 uploaded files from this one Flickr album were duplicates of already existing Commons files. --Ooligan (talk) 09:56, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I mean, it's not a great ratio for sure. But then you also seem unable to just let this die on the vine when everyone else seems to have essentially moved on at this point, which isn't super great either. So maybe go do something else and leave the ANU complaint to people who aren't as involved in this as you are to figure things out. Really, maybe I'd care more if you and a couple of other people clearly weren't it just to axe grind over A1Cafel nominating your uploads for deletion, but you all have bludgeoned and nitpicked it past the point of creditability. Sorry, but you really need to just drop it and move on. Otherwise your just making the whole thing about yourself instead of A1Cafel's behavior. --Adamant1 (talk) 10:17, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  •  Comment Hey, @A1Cafel: , don't upload 31 duplicate images out of 53 again alright? Otherwise I'll support blocking you from using the tool next time your reported for it. --Adamant1 (talk) 10:22, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Help in adding Kazakh FOP category[edit]

Hello. I'm requesting your help to add Category:Kazakhstani FOP cases/pending to the nominations made by KazyKazyKazakhstan (see here). The user does not seem to notice (or ignores) my message of adding that category to the FOP deletion requests the user made. There are too many deletion requests made by this user, and I cannot categorize them all due to personal / real-life reasons. Thanks. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 05:35, 3 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File:„Външно” отвътре (8153293685).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Category Tate Modern[edit]

Hi A1Cafel, I have noticed you were rather involved in deletions and I found some like File:London - Tate Britain Turner Prize 2016 (3).jpg in the category Tate Modern with which I am not sure what to do. Delete them or not? It is allowed to have them if they were permanently exhibited in a public place I believe, but I do not know if they are permanently or only temporarily in the Tate Modern. Maybe you can have a look at it. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 11:24, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Paradise Chronicle: Seems it is an exhibition from 27 September 2016 until 2 January 2017. --A1Cafel (talk) 13:48, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks, I have nominated now one file for deletion, lets see what others believe is correct. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 07:33, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Help in adding categories[edit]

Hello again. I'm requesting again your help in categorizing DRs by KazyKazyKazakhstan, by adding relevant categories based on the nominated works' countries: see here again. Due to busy college schedule now, I cannot categorize the DRs. Also, while that user categorizes some, those were categorized through HotCat and not manually, therefore lacking "noinclude" tags and collaterally categorizing the daily listing. Regards, JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 04:27, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@JWilz12345: Done. --A1Cafel (talk) 05:19, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello again A1Cafel. The user may had added categories for their nominations yesterday, but seems they did not do so for today. See their page creation contributions. May I request you (again) to add relevant categories. I may not do the manual adding of categories due to sudden college works. Regards, JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 13:15, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@JWilz12345: Done. I was tired yesterday so I cannot finish it. --A1Cafel (talk) 03:11, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@A1Cafel hello again. Kindly help again in adding categories; QazyQazyQazaqstan failed to do categorizations again (like at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Halytskyi District, Lviv, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine - panoramio (15).jpg). I cannot do categorizations because of college examination week and that the user tends to do numerous nominations per day or session. Refer to here for contributions. Regards, JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 10:34, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@JWilz12345: Done. Note that QazyQazyQazaqstan was globally locked due to sockpuppetery. --A1Cafel (talk) 03:47, 28 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don't think moving Category:Files by Byron Nash to Category:Photographs by Byron Nash was useful. About 15% of the files in the category are videos, not photographs. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:19, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
